Dr. Maxime Valois, MD, CCMF-MU is from the Montreal area. He obtained his medical degree from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2002 and graduated as a general practitioner from the Université de Montréal in 2004. He subsequently obtained certification in emergency medicine from the Canadian College of Family Medicine.
Dr. Valois has been working at the Verdun Hospital since 2004 (intensive care unit and coronary unit) and in the emergency department of Charles-Lemoyne Hospital since 2007. He has also worked at the AZUR medical clinic for over three years. He teaches at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universities of Montreal, Sherbrooke and McGill in addition to teaching "tele-education" to postdoctoral fellows on all five continents. He has given more than 300 lectures and received multiple awards for his teaching.
Dr. Jean-François Lanctôt has been a family physician since 2003
Dr. Lanctôt M. D. CCMF (MU) has extensive experience in acute care, having worked for more than 14 years in the emergency department (currently at Charles Lemoyne Hospital) and in intensive care at Verdun Hospital. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Lanctôt is a Professor of Medicine at McGill University and Sherbrooke University. He has developed an internationally recognized expertise in targeted ultrasound and is the author of the medical manual Echo Guided Life Support.
Dr. Jean-Philippe Garant, MD obtained his medical degree from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2006, and graduated as a general practitioner in 2008.
Dr. Garant worked at the Maria Chapdelaine Centre in Dolbeau-Mistassini from 2008 to 2012. Since 2012, he has been working in the emergency department at Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital in Cowansville. He also monitors patients, walk-in clinics and musculoskeletal infiltration clinics at the Cowansville Medical Centre, as well as home visits. He is also very involved in teaching. He is a master instructor in Emergency Targeted Ultrasound (EDU) and Shock Targeted Ultrasound (EGLS). He is also an instructor for ATLS, a training course in trauma patient management.
